Security Analyst II Pay Range: $77900.00 - $99320.00
Security Analyst I Pay Range: $64060.00 -$78460.00

In this role youll help defend critical infrastructuresystems that cannot fail. Youll work on real security threats across IT and cloud environments supporting the protection of the U.S. power grid and contributing to a mission that matters.
This role is ideal for a team-oriented adaptable analyst who can work in a fast-paced environment manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively across the organization. Experience in cyber security security audits and tools such as Palo Alto Prisma Splunk and CrowdStrike is a plus and will help you ramp quickly in this role. Youll collaborate closely with internal teams and industry peers while building hands-on experience in cloud security vulnerability management and security event and incident response.
What Youll Do
Support onboarding of systems and applications into the security environment
Monitor investigate and support response to security events and incidents
Assist with maintaining and rolling out cloud security tools including CASB
Support security event monitoring vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities
Work closely with internal teams to assess security concerns gather information and communicate findings
Manage and support security tools and systems that provide logical and physical security controls
Assist with internal security controls and external compliance requirements
Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of security processes and controls recommending improvements as needed
Participate as an active member of the SPP Cyber Security Team including exercises and ongoing collaboration
Support the Cyber Incident Response Team during security events
Stay current on NERC NAESB SPP Tariff and other security-related reliability requirements
Assist with ensuring procedures align with Information Security Policies and Information Protection Plans
Help produce and report security metrics (KPIs and KRIs) for leadership
Support the delivery of security awareness training
Participate in the cyber security on-call rotation
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience
Experience Requirements:
- Security Analyst II: Three (3) years of relevant IT experience
- Security Analyst I: No experience required
Required:
- Fluency in English and ability to communicate effectively with a variety of technical staff and management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Flexibility and the ability to function with constantly changing and multiple priorities
- Excellent organizational skills
- General understanding of industry compliance requirements
- Understanding of and compliance with SPP Policies and Procedures
Preferred:
- In-Depth knowledge of the NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Standards
- Certifications such as SSCP CAP and Security preferred
- One (1) year of security-related experience
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time onsite hybrid position based in Little Rock Arkansas. The standard workweek is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with extended hours may be required. Job requires managing staff working rotating shift schedules with long hours.
Travel Requirement:
This position requires minimal travel (approximately 10%).
