Role Summary:
We are looking for a Freelance Accountant with strong U.S. accounting and tax knowledge to support statutory compliance and reporting across jurisdictions manage external accounting and tax partners and strengthen financial controls. This role requires a high level of autonomy critical thinking and the ability to operate in an environment where processes are evolving.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately process and verify vendor invoices ensuring they match purchase orders and vendor statements.
Prepare and execute vendor payments ensuring they are made within the agreed payment terms.
Process payments via the bank platform / online banking system.
Reconcile invoices payments and vendor statements to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
Enter accounting data into the accounting system.
Maintain records of the companys fixed assets including depreciation calculations.
Assist with corporate audits and other financial reporting requirements as needed.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP) and internal controls.
Statutory & Tax Responsibilities (U.S.-Specific)
Prepare and submit statutory financial reports in accordance with U.S. requirements.
Prepare and file Sales Tax Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and state-specific taxes (e.g. Delaware B&O).
Participate in U.S. statutory and tax audits.
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and federal and state tax regulations.
Statutory & Tax Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit statutory financial reports in accordance with U.S. requirements.
Prepare and file Sales Tax Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and state-specific taxes (e.g. Delaware B&O).
Participate in U.S. statutory and tax audits.
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and federal and state tax regulations.
