Reliable transportation of materials and equipment is critical to the success of a leading commercial construction contractor in the Metro Atlanta region. Were seeking experienced safety-focused Class A CDL drivers to keep projects moving efficiently. This is a full-time yard-based role with early start times and occasional extended hours offering consistent local work with minimal overnight travel.

What Youll Do
- Safely operate Class A vehicles with 4853 RGN and Landall trailers to transport construction materials and equipment.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured and compliant with DOT regulations including unsupervised loading of heavy iron.
- Plan and execute delivery schedules efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections reporting issues promptly.
- Maintain compliance with federal state and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers project managers and team members.
- Keep accurate logs of mileage deliveries and equipment usage.
- Assist with minor maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Help around the yard or shop on rainy days or when local work slows.
- Keep trucks and yard areas clean and organized to support operational efficiency.
What Were Looking For
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy vehicles with proven RGN/lowboy experience hauling heavy iron or construction materials.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations load securement and safety requirements.
- Ability to safely lift and secure loads using chains straps and other equipment.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to start early (typically 6 AM3 PM) with flexibility for earlier or later shifts; minimal overnight travel.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Positive attitude safety-conscious mindset and commitment to reliability.
