Job Summary
***This position is part-time with weekend and holiday rotations***
Duties/Responsibilities:
Below are theprimary duties and essential functions of an employee in this position. While not all tasks may be performed by every employee in this role all employees are expected to perform related tasks as needed. These essential functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Participate in daily Interdisciplinary Team Meetings.
- Document the treatment plan content agreed upon by the treatment team.
- Educate Unit staff on thepatients individual treatment plans.
- Meet withpatients to complete biopsychosocial assessment.
- Facilitate family caregiver meetings.
- Obtain collateral forpatient discharge planning.
- Participate in/arrange discharge plans for
- Facilitate group therapy sessions.
- Educate and train Unit staff members to facilitate group therapy sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Occupational Exposure Risk Classification: Thenormal work routine involvesminimalexposure to blood bodyfluidsor tissues.
- The normal work routine has aminimalergonomic risk for repetitive motion impairment.
- The position may require aminimalamount of physical exertion (bending lifting twisting) in the work area.
- The position requires the ability to engage with patients who may become violent and to participate in physical patient holds using approved techniques when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:Bachelors Degree BSW or related degree.
- Experience:Prefer two (2) years in a mental health setting.
- Certificate or Professional License:
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) -certification must be obtained afterhireand prior to providing direct patient care. This certification must bemaintainedand kept current through employment.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and First Aid -certification must be obtained afterhireand prior to providing direct patient certification must bemaintainedand kept current through employment.
- Valid drivers license and activeautoinsurancecoverage.
- Satisfactory results from criminaland driving record background checks
- Must be aminimum21years of age.
- Mustbe aminimum25years of age tooperatea Bowen vehicle.
