The Financial Information Systems Analyst ensures the accuracy and integrity of subledger financial transactions by reviewing and processing transactions maintaining accounting integrations performing reconciliations and analysis and supporting reliable financial reporting across multiple systems.
Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting integrations through reconciliations analytical reviews and validation of chart of accounts and project numbers across multiple systems.
Maintain subledger and associated integration configurations that support transaction postings from multiple systems including student fees and financial aid service and recharge centers UT Foundation gift activity and campus expenses related to gift endowment and trust funds.
Serve as a key liaison between source systems the Controllers Office campuses and the Foundation to resolve chart of accounts project and integration-related issues.
Organize and clearly communicate the status of ongoing tasks projects and issues collaborating with stakeholders across departments to support effective coordination and problem-solving.
Manage end-to-end processing of accounting transactions including file transfers ERP integrations process monitoring configuration and troubleshooting.
Extract analyze and interpret financial data from the ERP system to maintain datasets and deliver accurate actionable reporting and insights.
Support year-end accounting by developing data transformation logic and preparing electronically generated journal entry interfaces.
Provide consulting and troubleshooting support for subledger integrations particularly during system updates enhancements and process changes.
Bachelors degree in Accounting with concentration in either Information Management or Auditing (institution comparable to the University of Tennessee) and at least three years cumulative experience including education training internships and practical work experience using IT software (e.g. Access Tableau PowerBI Alteryx Easymorph) in an accounting environment.
