DESCRIPTION:
Perform essential analyses that help ensure product quality and safety as part of our Microbiology team at Thermo Fisher this role youll conduct microbiological testing on raw materials finished products and environmental samples following established SOPs and GMP guidelines. Your responsibilities will include media preparation culture maintenance microbial identification environmental monitoring and equipment calibration. Youll document and analyze test results while maintaining strict compliance with quality standards. This position offers opportunities to contribute to method development participate in validation projects and work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. Your work will directly impact our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree required with no prior experience required in microbiology laboratory
Preferred Fields of Study: Microbiology Biology or related scientific field
Strong knowledge of GMP GLP and aseptic techniques
Proficiency in microbiological testing methods including environmental monitoring growth promotion and microbial identification
Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration
Strong documentation and technical writing skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook)
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Experience with LIMS/SAP systems preferred
Availability to work various schedules including weekends when required
Physical ability to stand for extended periods lift 10-35 pounds and perform laboratory tasks requiring manual dexterity
Must follow safety protocols and properly use PPE including lab coat safety glasses and gloves
