Position Overview
Seeking a Radiologic Technologist (CT) responsible for performing high-quality radiographic and CT examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists. The technologist ensures patient safety accurate imaging and adherence to departmental protocols and radiation safety standards.
Schedule
5x8-Hour Shifts
Primary Shift: 7:00 PM 3:30 AM
Swing Shift Coverage: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM and 11:00 PM 7:30 AM
Holiday rotation and PTO coverage required
Key Responsibilities
Perform radiographic and CT examinations as ordered by referring physicians and radiologists.
Greet patients and explain imaging procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.
Properly position patients and select appropriate exposure factors to obtain quality diagnostic images.
Practice radiation safety and protection to minimize patient exposure.
Operate imaging equipment efficiently and report malfunctions to the immediate supervisor.
Process images and document procedures accurately within the Radiology Information System (RIS) for billing and compliance purposes.
Follow department policies procedures and imaging protocols as defined in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
Maintain a strong knowledge base of CT and radiologic imaging techniques.
Required Qualifications
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
New York State license/registration.
Minimum one (1) year of CT or MRI experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance.
