1^st Shift Machine Operator

Rate: $20/hr

Hours: M-F 7am-3:30pm

Responsibilities:

- Setup and operate machines load/unload parts and communicate changes and results (in writing and verbally) while adhering to a strict time schedule

- Inspect and verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary (micrometers calipers gauges (pin thread indicator height) optical comparators and CMM

- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations

- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs

- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs

- Lift push and/or pull up to thirty-five (35lbs) pounds regularly

- Operate overhead crane or other lifting equipment when necessary

- Stand at least 95% of scheduled shift on raised platform

- Walking or climbing stairs as needed to perform job duties as assigned

- Frequently use gross and fine motor skills to manage various parts tools and tooling

Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED required

- Previous machining experience preferred but not required

- Have basic mechanical aptitude

- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required

- Must meet the ITAR definition of 120.15 U.S. person

- Good mechanical aptitude and some shop math is required

- Ability to add and subtract decimals

- Reliable attendance within acceptable standards of attendance policy

- Complex problem solving with critical math skills

- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English

- Must be able to clearly communicate information to others verbally and in writing in English

- Exceptional time management and or organization skills

- Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color perception depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. 20/20 vision (natural or corrected) required with ability to pass annual vision test as required
