Job Summary
Please apply online at -Wilkins Elementary School is seeking a certified Occupational Therapist to work with our elementary-aged students. The successful candidate will be an integral member of a collaborative team supporting students with disabilities and will have experience working in an elementary school setting including supporting students behavioral sensory and self-regulation needs within the school Duties and Responsibilities:- Deliver occupational therapy services using individual group and consultation models within an elementary school environment- Conduct assessments related to fine motor sensory processing and functional school skills- Develop implement and monitor IEP goals with attention to students sensory behavioral and self-regulation needs- Support students positive behavior engagement and access to learning through sensory-based and developmentally appropriate strategies- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers special educators behavior support staff and related service providers- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians team members and administration demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skillsQualifications & SkillsRequired:- Allied Health Certified Occupational Therapist- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)- Experience working with elementary-aged students in an educational or school-based setting- Knowledge of strategies to support student behavior self-regulation and sensory needs in classrooms and school routinesPreferred:- Experience implementing sensory diets and sensory-based interventions- Familiarity with the New Hampshire Special Education Information System (NHSEIS)- Experience delivering occupational therapy services using a school-based service delivery model
