About the Role:

You will be responsible for creating compelling content for S&P Global Energy including PDF layouts of daily weekly and monthly newsletters as well as animated and static data visualizations special reports motion graphics and video production. You will collaborate with reporters and editors across global offices using Adobe CC software. You will publish content through our in-house CMS in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment. Creativity technical proficiency effective time management and attention to detail are essential.

The Team:
The Content Design team is a global group producing thousands of graphics and multimedia assets annually across approx. 100 publications and various digital platforms.

Responsibilities and Impact:

Our visual communication function is a crucialcomponentin ensuring that Content Designs work is well understood and resonates with our target audience comprisingtraderspolicymakers regulators financial professionals investors and other key stakeholders in theenergy andcommoditiesclimatefinanceand policy in the creation and delivery of our premium periodical will also play a part in creating impact content for ourwebsites.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design andlayoutdaily weekly and monthly newsletters using Adobe InDesign and Creative Cloud tools.

  • Collaborate with reporters to create data visualizations such as static and animated charts graphs and infographics.

  • Publish content through internal CMS platforms ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Coordinate with editors and stakeholders across global teams to align visual output with editorial goals.

  • Stay current with design trends and tools to continuously improve visual storytelling.

Accountabilities:

  • Layout daily weekly and monthly newsletters working closely with editor(s)

  • Work with reporters to execute data visualization work including charts graphs tables and infographics

  • Ensure relevant tables graphics for newsletters are published

  • Meet all relevant delivery deadlines

What Were Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in designinformation designdatajournalismor a relevant field

  • Experience withpublication layoutdata journalism datavisualizationand visual storytelling.

  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling and data-driven narratives.

  • Expertisein Adobe InDesign to produce professional high-quality layouts and publications.

  • Intermediate toadvanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite including graphics development production andvideo editing.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English enabling clear and effective messaging.

  • Deadline-driven: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere meeting strict deadlines without compromising quality.

  • Experience in a newsroom or magazine setting.

  • Ability to learn quickly and work autonomously without direct supervision whilemaintainingproductivity.

  • Calm under pressure: Capacity tomaintainclarity and focusina fast-moving working environment managing stress effectively.

  • Strong numerical skills to interpret and visually communicate data accurately.

  • Excelproficiency:Intermediate toadvanced skills in Excel for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Interpersonal skills: Excellent ability to build relationships in a cross-cultural global working environment fostering collaboration and communication.

  • Enthusiastic aboutstaying updated with the latest trends and advancements in data visualization design techniques tools and technologies.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate to advancedproficiencyin Adobe CC Flourish PowerBI and/or other similar online data visualization tools

  • Experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for video editing and animation.
    Ability to create animated charts and dynamic visualizations for digital and video formats.

  • Familiarity with producing videos for web and social media platforms.
