Job Summary
Earlier this year building on the solid foundation of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) as a fund manager we introduced an optimized CIP Platform with three platform companies providing services to CIP. To learn more please refer to the CIP Platform section below.
In our optimized CIP Platform CIP Terra Technologies a project delivery company delivering projects from onshore wind solar PV and battery energy storage systems to bioenergy thermal and transmission infrastructure is currently looking for an Associate Commercial Management to join our office in Manila Philippines.
Team
As Commercial Manager you will become a part of the Commercial Management team of CIP Terra Technologies in the Philippines. This team is responsible for managing the commercial offtake financial and transactionrelated work necessary to advance onshore renewable energy projects in the Philippines through origination development and execution.
Role
As Commercial Manager you will be responsible for the commercial development structuring and execution of investments in greenfield renewable energy infrastructure projects. Tasks include developing and maintaining the business case executing transactions raising project finance and securing offtake contracts.
Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to:
- Business case management - develop and review financial models for the purposes of acquisition development financing and/or divestment of renewable power projects; maintain the business case of our investment or projects including regularly reporting on valuation and investment returns and expenditures vis-à-vis the approved mandate.
- Transaction execution - assist in potential acquisition / sell-down transaction processes including screening deal opportunities and conducting due diligence (financial and commercial) including engagement and management of consultants / advisors; support in drafting and reviewing of transaction agreements and transaction documents.
- Project finance execution - support the project finance transaction process and assist in the discussions and negotiations with lenders
- Offtake support - assist in PPA discussions and negotiations with potential offtakersand assist in processing the requirements for competitive bidding processes.
- Prepare high-quality PowerPoint presentations market research analysis internal memos and papers for internal discussion reporting to and approval of CIPs senior management and governance bodies
- Other works as required by the direct supervisor
You
We are looking for a motivated highly professional and organized individual holding a relevant degree in Finance Accounting Business Economics or other relevant fields and a minimum of 7 years of full-time experience in a similar role with financial institutions investment banks management advisory firms or power/renewable energy development companies. MBA or CFA.

- Strong financial modelling skills with the ability to build complex high-quality error-free financial models
- Solid financial acumen with ability to translate complex matters into clear messages
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including proficiency in creating high-quality PowerPoint presentations
- Results-driven with a high execution orientation and a focus on effective problem solving and clear communication
- Effective project leadership skills with experience delivering complex projects in collaboration with multiple stakeholders
