Job Summary

SUMMARY

Manages the food service program in a multi-site program.

DUTIES

  1. Provides leadership support and guidance to all Residential Transitional and PHF programs ensure that food quality standards inventory levels food safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.
  1. Monitors budget and food costs. Maintains records of expenditures food supplies and equipment.
  1. Develops menus to meet needs of residents with input of medical and supervisory staff. Menus to be approved by dietician.
  1. Orders food and supplies in most efficient and cost effective manner.
  1. Coordinates menu preparation and delivery of food items at all Residential Transitional and PHF programs.
  1. Coordinates and may provide supervisory functions to food service staff.
  1. Provides on-site training and supervision of clients in both individual and group settings as part of a vocational training program to achieve program goals.
  1. Attends and participates in in-service training and staff meetings.
  1. Develops and implements direct instruction plan for clients on work site including specific skill training.
  1. Employee must be able to monitor client activities with or without a reasonable accommodation.

REQUIREMENT

Training and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent and Serve Safe Manager Certification.

Three or more years of training and experience in food service management preferably in a behavioral health setting. Catering is a plus.

Knowledge Skills Abilities

1. Knowledge of principles and requirements of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.

2 Knowledge of principles and requirements in food management

3. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

4. Ability to work effectively with staff and clients.

5. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

  1. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
