We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Design Engineer (EPLAN) to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing electrical control systems and producing detailed schematics using EPLAN Electric P8 ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Design Engineer (EPLAN) to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing electrical control systems and producing detailed schematics using EPLAN Electric P8 ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed electrical schematics control panel layouts and wiring diagrams using EPLAN
Design MCCs PLC panels VFD panels and power distribution systems
Generate BOMs cable schedules and terminal plans
Ensure designs comply with IEC SANS UL or relevant standards
Collaborate with project engineers mechanical engineers and workshop teams
Review and update drawings based on client feedback and site modifications
Support manufacturing and commissioning teams with technical documentation
Maintain drawing revisions and project documentation control

Requirements

Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
3 years of electrical design experience using EPLAN Electric P8
Strong understanding of LV/MV systems and control panel design
Knowledge of PLC systems (e.g. Siemens Schneider Allen-Bradley)
Familiarity with industrial automation and instrumentation
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
