Role Responsibilities

As Premises Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the schools site and facilities team including caretakers and site assistants.

  • Ensuring the school buildings and grounds are well-maintained clean and safe at all times.

  • Overseeing maintenance repairs and improvement projects liaising with contractors and suppliers.

  • Monitoring and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations including fire safety risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.

  • Managing the schools premises budget procurement and inventory of equipment and supplies.

  • Planning and coordinating setup and support for school events meetings and extracurricular activities.

  • Implementing and updating premises policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

  • Significant experience in facilities or premises management ideally in a school or educational setting.

  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage a team effectively.

  • Knowledge of health and safety risk assessments and safe working practices.

  • Strong organisational problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to work proactively independently and collaboratively.

  • Reliability attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
