Role Responsibilities

As a DT Technician your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing materials tools and equipment for practical DT lessons across all key stages.

• Assisting teaching staff during lessons and supporting students with the safe use of machinery and tools.

• Maintaining and organising workshops equipment and resources to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

• Supporting health and safety compliance including the safe handling and storage of tools materials and chemicals.

• Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as required to maintain continuity of lessons.

• Assisting with project setups displays and departmental events.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a DT Technician workshop assistant or similar practical role.

• Strong understanding of DT materials tools and machinery.

• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a workshop environment.

• Organised proactive and reliable with good communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
