The Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program (BTNEP) is a unique and complex multi-year program of the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency and is an affiliate of Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON). Essential to the effectiveness of the National Estuary Program is the significant participation of other state and federal agencies local governments university scientists educators and other citizens and stakeholders of the Barataria-Terrebonne estuarine complex.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The BTNEP Student Worker will assist the Office Manager/Directors Assistant with daily responsibilities including but not limited to answering phones attending to visitors and the general public filing checking mail on a daily basis assisting in the preparation of final minutes for management conference meetings and other reporting keeping track of publication inventory (complete requests and mail outs for products from web phone and email inquiries). In addition the individual will be asked to keep the office area clean remove trash and have vehicles cleaned and fueled for staff.

VACANCY INFORMATION:
This is an unclassified position.
This position is located in Thibodaux LA.
Students are required to submit verification from their universities each semester substantiating their status as a person enrolled in an accredited high school college or university in a sufficient number of courses and classes in such institution to be classified as a full-time regular student under the criteria used by the institution in which the person is enrolled.
