Job Insight
The Part-Time Online Proctor is responsible for administering and monitoring online exams in a secure testing environment. This role ensures exam integrity by verifying student identity enforcing testing protocols and providing excellent customer service support to examinees.

Key Responsibilities:
- Verify student identification to ensure only approved individuals take exams
- Follow faculty or testing administrator instructions prior to exam start
- Ensure examinees do not possess unauthorized materials during testing
- Administer exams and continuously monitor students throughout the session
- Provide clear testing instructions and general support to examinees
- Always maintain a secure and ethical testing environment
- Record testing statistics and enter discrepancies into the database as needed
- Troubleshoot exam-related technical issues and equipment failures
- Perform additional administrative or related duties as assigned
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Basic computer proficiency (Email Microsoft Office applications)
- Ability to operate general office equipment (printer scanner fax etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Excellent customer service interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Primarily sedentary work with occasional walking standing bending or carrying light materials
- No special physical demands required
Work Environment
- Work performed in a climate-controlled office setting
- Equipment includes PC workstation phone and standard office tools
- May require flexible scheduling including mornings afternoons evenings weekdays and weekends
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current students of the institution are not eligible due to exam security conflicts
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience working in an educational or academic environment
- Prior administrative or office experience
- Previous experience administering or proctoring exams
