Position Overview:
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with specialized experience in Hematology /Oncology to join a multi-specialty practice in the BronxNY. Qualifications:
- Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license (Required).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Hematology/Oncology setting as a Registered Nurse.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in chemotherapy administration central line care port access management of oncology-related symptoms and patient assessment. Knowledge of oncology protocols and safety standards.
- Soft Skills: Compassionate bedside manner excellent communication with patients and families strong critical thinking attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
- Administer chemotherapy biotherapy and other oncology treatments safely.
- Assess monitor and document patient responses to treatments and interventions.
- Manage central lines ports and other vascular access devices.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses treatment plans side effect management and supportive care resources.
- Collaborate with physicians nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols infection control standards and oncology nursing best practices.
