We have an exciting opportunity at Caterpillar for a Director of Product Management Compaction to lead the strategy and execution of the product line business for soil and asphalt compaction products globally.

This position is the value chain entrepreneur responsible for all aspects of the business to ensure the product makes the expected contribution to short and long-term revenue and OPACC commitments as well as market share quality and services goals. This position provides primary business view to the Vice President of Product Management regarding voice of the customer globally global economic and competitive trends technology and product development manufacturing and supply chain economics and overall profitability for the assigned product business.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the development and execution of a compelling product vision and long-term technology strategy
  • Manage global cost and quality processes to deliver profitability and ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Drive product market share growth through strategy execution and cross-functional collaboration
  • Deliver services growth through new offerings improved value propositions and customer-focused enhancements
  • Optimize the performance of the product portfolio
  • Ensure alignment of demand supply inventory and capacity to achieve Product Availability targets
  • Build coach and lead a highperforming team; cultivate strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Lead and deliver highimpact strategic initiatives for the VP of Product Management

What You Have:

  • Products and Services: Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations
  • Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner
  • Organizational Leadership: Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting embracing and achieving objectives
  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of big picture thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization
  • Producing Results: Understanding of the criticality of getting things done in spite of current circumstances and the ability to utilize assigned resources and leverage back-channel resources (individuals or teams) to achieve or exceed planned outcomes
  • Competitive Environment: Knowledge of business market concepts and principles; ability to utilize the processes tools and techniques for gathering analyzing and communicating information about the competitive environment.
  • Knowledge of Customers: Knowledge of various types of customers and ability to analyze customer activities profiles and information
  • Knowledge of Product Line: Knowledge of methodologies tools and techniques for specific products; ability to develop product line processes and strategies

Education: Bachelors degree and/or significant related experience with progressive levels of responsibility

  • This position is eligible for stock or other equity grants pursuant to Caterpillars long-term incentive plan

Summary Pay Range:

$189080.00 - $283630.00
