If you are a soccer enthusiast who thrives in the heart of the action and enjoys setting betting odds this is your opportunity to join our expanding Pre-Event Trading Team at Kaizen Gaming.
The position sits within the Pre Event Soccer team contributing to our delivering a high-caliber customized betting offer and a best-in-class user experience for our customers.
As a Pre Event Trader you will:
- Compile Odds: Calculate and set competitive odds for various betting markets (e.g. match winner number of goals player-specific bets) before the soccer match starts;
- Manage Risk: Monitor and adjust odds to balance potential payouts and minimize the companys financial risk. This includes analyzing betting patterns and identifying any unusual activity;
- Monitor Market: Keep a close eye on market trends news and information that could affect the outcome of a match and adjust odds accordingly;
- Analyse Data: Use statistical models and data analysis to predict match outcomes and inform odds-setting decisions;
- Utilize Trading Tools: Utilize and contribute to the development of trading tools and software to improve efficiency and accuracy;
- Collaborate: Work closely with other traders analysts and sportsbook teams to ensure smooth operations and competitive offerings.
- Work Flexible Hours: Given the nature of sports events flexible work hours including evenings and weekends are usually required;
- Maintain Attention to Detail: Accuracy is crucial in this role as even small errors in odds setting can have significant financial consequences.
What you will bring:
- Soccer Expertise: A strong passion for and in-depth knowledge of soccer including leagues teams players and trends;
- Analytical Skills: Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions under pressure;
- Statistical Knowledge: Understanding of statistical concepts and their application in sports betting;
- Risk Management: Ability to assess and manage financial risk;
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with trading software and MS Office programs especially Excel;
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments;
- Experience: Previous experience in odds compiling or trading preferably in soccer is often required.
