Yellowstone Clubs Outdoor Pursuits Kids department is currently seeking candidates for a Recreation Attendant for this upcoming Summer season! Our Summer employment months are June - September.
The purpose of the Recreation Attendant is to facilitate activities and events care for and provide equipment maintenance in the 20 Below Indoor Recreation Center.
This position is responsible for the care and maintenance of 20 Below; a recreation facility located in the Warren Miller Lodge. It has a movie theater game room full rock climbing wall bouldering wall sport court and arts & craft room. Recreation Attendants need to be high energy and enthusiastic; willing to initiate gym games with kids assist in belaying on the rock wall knowledge about gaming equipment and encourage activities in the arts & craft room. There are daily administrative duties such as responding to e-mails. This position has evening shifts.
Responsibilities Include:
- Encourage and engage with young members in the facility.
- Plan and implement arts and craft activities.
- Belay on the rock wall.
- Maintain equipment.
- Plan and facilitate events.
- Assist Supervisor with administrative duties.
- Interact with Members and guests with an engaging and friendly attitude.
- Field activity questions and movie reservations through e-mails and in person.
- Work closely with Outdoor Pursuits Manager and Co-Supervisors on providing effective communication planning and organization to ensure all activity needs are met.
- Maintain knowledge of services and activities. Know the status rates and benefits of all services.
- Perform opening and closing duties as necessary.
Pay:
- This role typically pays $21.00 per hour plus gratuity.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma GED or vocational training
- 1 years experience in recreation with youth
- 2 years experience with customer service and/or event planning
- Bachelors degree preferred
- 3 years experience in the field of recreation and/or event planning preferred
The position offered is a seasonal position located in Big Sky Montana.
