Job Description
An urgent opportunity has arisen for two experienced Project Leaders Professional Architects (PrArch) to join a highprofile programme based in Cape Towns CBD. These officebased positions require SACAP professional registration with a minimum of five years postregistration experience alongside strong project management and contract administration expertise. The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in managing complex construction projects with exposure to government health initiatives and highvalue infrastructure. This is an excellent chance for ambitious architects to step into a leadership role driving delivery under strict deadlines while applying their technical contractual and administrative skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the projects allocated including but not limited to the following:
- Ensuring adherence with cashflow and programme.
- Drafting cashflow and programme.
- Meeting deadlines.
- Always keeping the server up to date.
- Ensuring that all documentation is filed correctly.
- Managing procurement.
- Managing consultants appointments and performance.
- Managing contractors appointments and performance.
- Complying with all processes and protocols.
- Management of Contracts including JBCC and NEC.
- Checking invoices and their correctness.
- Professional reviews on Stage Architectural Reports.
- Being a member of the Bid Evaluation Committee.
- Review of appointments additional fees and any other related matters.
- Making sure Auditor General audits are successfully completed.
Requirements:
- Masters/Degree in Architecture and PrArch professional registration with SACAP
- Experience in the Construction Industry
- Experience in contracts (JBCC and NEC) administration and financial administration
- Experience in Project/Programme Management is very beneficial (highly preferred)
- 5 years of post SACAP registration experience
- PA experience is beneficial (highly preferred)
- Experience with Health projects beneficial
- Knowledge of CIDB PROCSA Fee Scales consultant appointments
- Problem Solving by analysing and processing information asking probing questions
- Building Relationships by interacting with people and building rapport
- Communicating Information by being articulated
- Showing resilience and remaining composed when dealing with pressure
- Strong Processing skills by being target focused and meeting deadlines
- Being meticulous conscientious and thorough
- Following Procedures Protocols and Instructions
- Behaving ethically and justly
- Focused on output
