Job Summary

Summary

This position is ideal for individuals with an interest in basic scientific or medical fields. It is well-suited for those currently preparing for graduate or medical school and who have optional hours each week to gain hands-on experience in a scientific laboratory setting

Job Purpose

Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.

Job Duties

Participates actively in scientific research.
Operates all the instrumentation needed for the projects (training will be provided as needed).
Documents experimental procedures in precise details.
Collects and compiles imaging and cell culture data.
Prepares reagents and solutions to aid and assist in research of a senior Faculty member.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be enrolled in high school trade/vocational school or higher education institution.
