Hospitalist MD Full-Time
Location: Shelton Connecticut
A well-established community-focused acute care hospital in the Shelton Connecticut area is actively seeking a full-time Hospitalist MD to join its collegial and patient-centered inpatient medicine team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a supportive hospital environment known for clinical excellence and strong physician engagement. Position Overview
Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to adult patients
Manage admissions daily rounding and discharges
Collaborate closely with specialists nursing staff case management and ancillary services
Participate in a structured hospitalist schedule (block schedule model)
Respond to acute changes in patient condition and coordinate higher levels of care when needed
Ensure timely documentation and effective communication with primary care providers
Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (or Family Medicine with hospitalist experience)
Eligible for Connecticut State medical licensure
Active/Eligible DEA registration
Strong clinical and communication skills
