About the role


Looking for an experienced & skilled Senior Category Manager who will lead the Beauty category for Benelux & Nordics
while working closely with the Head of Marketing and is someone who thrives in a high paced agile and dynamic
environment. This role will also include ownership of bringing new categories to market.
The ideal candidate has a passion for beauty new technology & consumer products and has the skillset to implementinnovative marketing & commercial strategies. This position is supported by a team of Category Manager(s)/Executive(s).


As our Senior Category Manager you will:
Category Strategy & Business Leadership

  • Own the full Beauty and new category business including forecast planning and long term strategy development(volumes ranging team briefs).
  • Lead category strategy compliance ensuring alignment with business goals & KPIs.
  • Develop robust inbound analysis competitive insights consumer understanding and market projections toinform short/medium/long-term category vision.
  • Identify and lead new category opportunities including portfolio expansion and innovation spaces.
  • Own the category budget commercials and full P&L ensuring shrewd investment optimal budget structure andproactive efficiency gains.

Go-to Market (GTM) & Launch Excellence

  • Lead GTM launch strategies including full rollout planning across retail and digital channels.
  • Drive strategic sell-in presentations with key retailers to secure buy-in optimal launch visibility and support.
  • Develop ranging and pricing strategies ensuring clear principles prioritizations and channel-specificadaptations to unlock all opportunities
  • Partner with ecommerce and retail stakeholders to build strong ranging proposals and support Joint BusinessPlans.
  • Empower team members to keep close track of forecasting and stock levels to ensure strategic launches as wellas business as usual is optimally de-risked pro-actively.

Commercial Planning and Joint Business Planning

  • Lead the Integrated Business planning cycle forecasting and act as Portfolio Management Review owner toensure accurate demand planning and de-risked stock management while bringing in a strong commerciallyoriented mindset and approaches.
  • Provide volume guidance and submission support to commercial and finance partners.
  • Lead strategic Joint Business Planning with sales ensuring alignment across category channel and retailerpriorities.
  • Develop the B2B strategy including excellence with Salon partners.

Brand Communications PR & Media

  • Build and own the brand strategy for the category ensuring differentiation superiority and alignment with thebrand.
  • Ensure seamless alignment of PR and influencer plans to category objectives.
  • Collaborate with PR & Comms teams on experiential moments earned media and cultural amplification.
  • Partner with the Media team to translate category vision into effective and efficient media plans.
  • Drive alignment of branded content with media ensuring storytelling cohesion across paid owned and earnedtouchpoints.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Inspire lead and coach the category team embedding a culture of consumer insight curiosity and highperformance.
  • Provide clear goals regular feedback and structured development planning.
  • Build talent pipelines and succession plans to ensure organizational readiness.
  • Promote efficient processes and cross-functional ways of working to maximize team and market impact.


About you


To succeed in the role we expect you to have:

  • At least six years of solid marketing/category management & commercial ownership with demonstrable experience in launching new products into the market
  • At least two years of having led a category independently along with full P&L ownership and delivery
  • Solid experience in commercial ownership brand management including simultaneous management ofproduct marketing and communications with measurable results.
  • Experience of having handled complex commercial / trading plans in partnership with multi-market / multichannel cross-functional teams
  • Past experience in beauty preferred and understanding of the beauty retailer landscape is a big plus
  • Proven track record of challenging the status quo and delivering innovative solutions.
  • Effective communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to influence others.
  • Passion for marketing and deep knowledge of market trends.
  • Past experience of having handled a team is a must.
  • Marketing-based analytical skills including financial and return on investment analysis.
  • Ability to plan and deliver strategic initiatives with a high willingness to learn and collaborate.
  • Articulate and confident individual capable of communicating plans effectively.
  • Strong team player with a positive and supportive demeanour.
