Payroll Specialist (HR & Union Payroll) Paylocity
Ponca City OK Onsite
$20$23/hour (DOE) Direct Hire
Were hiring an experienced Payroll Specialist to own end-to-end payroll for a single manufacturing location. This role is ideal for a detail-driven payroll professional with Paylocity experience union payroll exposure and a strong grasp of payroll compliance. Youll ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting HR and leadership with payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle payroll for a single location including timekeeping review approvals exceptions and manual checks
- Process weekly payroll in Paylocity ensuring data accuracy and compliance
- Administer payroll deductions including garnishments benefits PTO vacation 401(k) and labor allocations
- Handle union payroll including union dues and contract-based wage adjustments
- Coordinate payroll hours for contracted staff and staffing agencies
- Manage unemployment claims and appeals including documentation and filings
- Partner with HR managers and employees on payroll policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of hands-on payroll experience with full ownership of payroll processing
- Strong experience using Paylocity
- Union payroll experience and knowledge of labor contracts
- Experience handling unemployment claims audits and appeals
- Proficient in MS Office with excellent attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with occasional exposure to manufacturing areas (PPE required)
- Ability to sit/stand as needed and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
