KS2 Teacher – Woolwich

We are seeking an enthusiastic dedicated and experienced KS2 Teacher to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Woolwich starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 2 education and supporting pupils academic progress personal development and preparation for secondary school.

As a KS2 Teacher you will be responsible for planning delivering and assessing engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will support pupils academic achievement while promoting confidence resilience and independence. You will also play a key role in creating a safe structured and stimulating classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the KS2 curriculum

• Assess track and monitor pupil progress effectively

• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEN and EAL

• Promote positive behaviour and high expectations in the classroom

• Prepare pupils for SATs and the transition to secondary school

• Create a structured inclusive and stimulating learning environment

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers about pupil progress

• Contribute to staff meetings planning sessions and school improvement initiatives

• Follow safeguarding health and safety and school policies at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Have recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2

• Be confident delivering all areas of the KS2 curriculum

• Have excellent classroom management organisational and planning skills

• Be reflective enthusiastic and pupil-focused

• Be a positive team player with excellent communication skills

• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
