Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of plumbing repairs and installs plumbing fixtures piping and boilers.
- Maintains exterior underground sewage lines water lines and natural gas lines.
- Responsible for job site and equipment care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or through at least 6 months of intensive preparation outside of school.
- Work requires 2-3 years of progressively more responsible plumbing/mechanic/maintenance experience including: experience with all facets of plumbing and mechanical work; the ability to estimate time and material for various jobs; the ability to perform work as scheduled and account daily for time and materials used; knowledge of safety procedures and the use of threading machines torches core drills saws alls concrete saws and compressors. Possession of a valid Baltimore County Journeyman Plumbers License and/or Gasfitters License is preferred.
- Must possess a valid Maryland Drivers License sufficient to operate all vehicles or equipment associated with the position at the time of appointment. Must meet Sheppard Pratt requirements to operate hospital vehicle.
