Job Summary
Role Overview
We are looking for a strong Backend Engineer to design and build scalable features for a large-scale Observability and Performance Management Platform.
The primary responsibility of this role is backend feature development using Python with exposure to distributed systems cloud-native architectures and high-throughput data processing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Architect design and develop backend services and platform features using Python
Build scalable APIs services and data processing components powering a large-scale observability platform
Collaborate closely with Product UX QA and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality releases
Contribute to system design discussions technical reviews and architectural decisions
Work on cloud-native deployments leveraging Kubernetes and distributed services
Integrate with telemetry and data collection technologies such as REST OTEL SNMP WMI etc.
Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows
Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide end-to-end problem diagnosis
Quickly evaluate and adopt relevant third-party libraries and tools
Required Qualifications
7 years of backend development experience in client-server or distributed application environments
Strong hands-on development experience in Python (mandatory)
Experience building scalable microservices or distributed systems
Experience working in public cloud environments (AWS and/or Google Cloud)
Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized deployments
Familiarity with distributed systems components such as Kafka or similar messaging systems
Experience with CI/CD and cloud-based development practices
Understanding of telemetry and infrastructure data collection technologies (REST OTEL SNMP WMI WBEM etc.) is preferred
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
Good to Have
Experience in Go or Java (nice to have not mandatory)
Prior exposure to observability infrastructure monitoring or performance management platforms
Experience working with OpenShift or other enterprise Kubernetes distributions
Experience contributing to open-source projects
Demonstrated ability to influence architectural decisions
