STATUS: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY
The BellPerson creates the first impression for guests by providing warm personalized service upon arrival and throughout their stay. This role involvesassistingguests with luggage escorting them to rooms explaining room features and offering information about hotel services and local attractions. The BellPerson ensures a welcoming environment in the lobby and entrance areas whileanticipatingguest needs and delivering exceptional hospitality. This is a seasonal position starting mid May and ending mid September.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education & Experience:
Prior hotel experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
High School GED or Equivalent.
PhysicalRequirements:
Ability to move lift carry push and pull objects up to 50 pounds withoutassistance.
Assistwith heavier items exceeding 75 pounds when needed.
Ability to stand walk or sit for extended periods or entire shifts.
General Requirements
Friendly courteous and guestoriented demeanor.
Strong communicationskills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
Must maintain a neat professional appearanceat all times.
Responsible reliable and able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Flexibility towork days early mornings eveningsovernightsweekends and holidays.
Maintain a clean and organized lobby and porte-cochere area.
Comply withsafety and security policies including proper lifting techniques and PPE use.
Follow company standards for guest interaction and service recovery.
DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
Fundamental Requirements:
Escort guests to rooms andassistwith luggage handling and storage.
Inspect guest rooms for readiness and explain room features and amenities.
Provide information about hotel services local attractions and transportation options.
Assistguests entering and exiting vehicles and arrange transportation when needed.
Maintain cleanliness of lobby and entrance areas.
Communicateparking procedures andassistwith valet coordination.
Engage guests with friendly proactive service andanticipatetheir needs.
Follow safety protocols including hazardous material handling and lockout/tag-out procedures.
Display professionalism and positive attitude; support team goals.
Perform otherduties asassigned by management.
In accordance with New Jersey State Legislature (New Jersey Legislature Bill S2310 Sca (1R)) which requires private employers with ten (10) or more employees to include a range of pay for all advertised jobs promotion or transfer opportunities. This position pays $15.92 - 16.50/hr dependent on experience.
