Our Membership Coordinator position at our Winnemucca Clubhouse manages membership processes and ensures an exceptional experience for members families and visitors. This role oversees membership processing and onboarding maintains accurate records and financial procedures and supports the day-to-day operations of the facility and programs. The position provides leadership to staff ensures compliance with Club policies manages resources and budgets and promotes youth development outcomes by supporting high-quality programs and services while upholding the Clubs core values and maintaining a safe welcoming environment for all.

These are some of the additional responsibilities of the Membership Coordinator:

  • Conduct membership orientation meetings and oversee membership onboarding processes.
  • Organize membership recruitment events and related activities for the advancement of the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows.
  • Sell and process fitness memberships and provide information on membership options to customers.
  • Oversee financial and administrative tasks to support the operations of programming and the facility as directed by the administration.
  • Educate members on overall standards and expectations of conduct while at the Club.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of work experience at a Boys & Girls Club or a similar organization overseeing customer service and administrative processes; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Skills & Abilities that make a successfulMembership Coordinator:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills able to communicate effectively with a diverse population and represent BGCTM professionally to the community.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to produce and provide data/reports in a timely manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Able to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly desired

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Must be able to perform duties which require walking talking hearing standing sitting and/or bending for long periods of time. May occasionally be required to kneel run and/or climb.
  • Must be able to use hands and arms to enter data into the computer use the telephone and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to perform surface and deep cleaning appropriately using potentially hazardous cleaners including bleach as needed.
  • Must be able to lift move manipulate and or hold objects up to 45 pounds. Objects that exceed the 45-pound weight limit require additional assistance when moving lifting or manipulating.
