Assistant Outdoor Track and Field Coach

Uxbridge High School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Coach for the High School Boys & Girls Track & Field program (grades 8-12). The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in developing a competitive inclusive and character-driven program that promotes athletic excellence and positions works under the general supervision of the Principal Athletic Director and Head Responsibilities:Assist in planning organizing and conducting daily practicesProvide event-specific coaching in sprints distance hurdles relays jumps and/or throwsSupervise student-athletes during practices competitions and team activitiesAssist with meet preparation entries and on-site event managementFoster teamwork leadership and sportsmanship among athletesCommunicate effectively with athletes parents coaching staff and administrationEnsure compliance with school district and state athletic association policiesQualifications:Previous coaching and/or competitive experience in track and field preferredKnowledge of training principles and event-specific techniquesAbility to motivate and develop high school student-athletesEffective communication and organizational skillsCPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Successful completion of background check as required by district (Fingerprinting CORI/SORI)Preferred Qualifications:Experience coaching multiple event areasFamiliarity with track & field scoringCoaching certification through state or national organizations****************************************************************************************************************************My application affirms that I have read and understand that the information which I have provided with this application process and the accompanying resume is true and complete to the best of my knowledge.
