- Using the latest testing technology to assess eye health and provide expert advice
- Providing enhanced services from triage support to advanced assessments depending on store needs
- Offering clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor
- Collaborating with external healthcare professionals
- Keeping your clinical knowledge up to date and sharing it with others
- Playing a key role in your stores leadership team bringing energy and insight to every shift
What youll need to have (our must-haves)- Were looking for Optometrists who are confident compassionate and always focused on doing the right thing for patients.
- GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months)
- NHS performer number (or working towards it)
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- A genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration
It would be great if you also have - Experience supporting enhanced services
- A strong understanding of local clinical networks

We are looking for an Optometrist to join us in South Wales in our Neath practice!
This position is full-time however we are happy to consider part-time also for full time we can be flexible on the weekdays weekend cover would be required either Saturday or Sunday and we are happy to explore alternate weekend working. For part time the days required would be Thursday Friday and Sunday.
Additionally if of interest there would also be an opportunity to cover shifts in Port Talbot and Swansea if required.
This is currently a 1-testing room practice however is increasing to 2-testing rooms which is the reason for this vacancy; the practice is busy with a very experienced and supportive team sitting within the heart of the market town.
Boots Opticians Neath offers a fantastic opportunity for an Optometrist looking to work in a well-established community-focused practice at the heart of a busy South Wales town.
Located in Neath town centre with excellent public transport links the practice benefits from a loyal and diverse patient base providing a broad mix of routine NHS and enhanced clinical work.
Youll be supported by an experienced friendly team within the trusted Boots Opticians brand with access to modern equipment strong clinical governance and clear opportunities for professional development.
