The Business Development Representative is responsible for net new sales lead generation within APAC financial institutions identifying high-potential opportunities sparking meaningful conversations and building qualified pipeline. This role takes ownership of market research ICP messaging and prospect engagement while supporting broader team initiatives.


Job Description
Responsibilities

  • Independently and proactively qualify and follow up on inbound leads from marketing campaigns website inquiries and events and execute outbound prospecting strategies including cold calls personalized emails and social media outreach.

  • Generate new opportunities schedule product demos with prospects and drive qualified leads to the sales team

  • Establish and develop introductory relationships with prospects

  • Conduct in-depth discovery calls to uncover prospect needs pain points and alignment with nCinos value proposition.

  • Perform detailed account and market research to identify trends key decision-makers and strategic initiatives within target institutions.

  • Create and iterate on persona-based messaging contributing to content refinement and outreach strategy.

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of contacts accounts and business development activities in Salesforce. Set up reports and dashboards to manage territory and goals.

  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities to support regional and team sales goals.

  • Collaborate with Sales Pre-Sales and Marketing teams on strategic events and/or outbound marketing activities

  • Lead short-term projects that contribute to overall success of Sales and Marketing team goals

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Business or related field

  • 4 years of experience in sales or combination of education experience and superior performance

  • Effective and proactive communication with experience in sales messaging and scripting

  • Proven self-starter with disciplined self-management abilities

  • Understanding of banks and knowledge of financial services industry terminology

Preferred:

  • Experience in business development roles

  • Desire to be a hunter

  • Quick learner who multi-tasks effectively with strong organizational skills

  • Process and data-oriented usage of Salesforce as a CRM system specifically reporting and dashboards

  • Motivated to achieve and exceed metrics and goals

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge skills abilities proficiencies experience education licensures/certifications as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement.
