Job Summary
nCino offers exciting career opportunities for individuals who want to join the worldwide leader in cloud banking.
This is an AWS-heavy engineering role where youll design and implement agentic AI platforms and solutions using cutting-edge technology. Youll focus on building capabilities that enable strategic AI adoption across the product and the organization helping teams turn powerful tools into practical banking solutions rather than building models from scratch.
As a senior engineer youll shape technical strategies for adopting new technologies while maintaining production-grade reliability and scale for mission-critical banking operations. Youll lead deep-dive explorations on assigned priorities contribute to high-level system design and break complex work into deliverable slices. Youll bridge platform and product engineering building infrastructure that serves internal teams while delivering customer-facing AI features. Youll gather feedback from both internal and external stakeholders and translate it into improvements that scale across the organization.
This role requires an automation-first mindset with strong infrastructure-as-code practices and observability skills. Youll need to be comfortable with both independent technical work and cross-team collaboration.
Essential Functions:
Provide input on architectural decisions and guide team members around best practices.
Incorporate the automated tests into applicable tickets andmentorsother members of the team on automation strategies.
Lead brainstorming sessions and propose innovative ideas and solutions.
Identifyopportunities & Lead proof-of-concepts todemonstratekey functionality orvalidatecritical technical aspects.
Begin to consider scalability maintainability and best practices as the high-level design of the solution takes shape.
Identifypotential risks and provide mitigation strategies.
Help choosetechnologiesand tools used for the project.
Be a technologist with an understanding of a range of languages frameworks and tools.
Consistently design code that is aligned with the overall service architecture.
Keep abreast of developments in the field and introducenew approachesand technologies.
Understand the data model and design of the product.
Facilitate communication and collaboration inside andoutsidetheir team.
Heavily involved in Automated Testing and improves the best practices and metrics.
Understand adoption and release barriers to entry for the product and technology.
Support PM and team in developing a strategic launch and release plan with cross functional teams.
Promote cross-team collaboration focused on takingend-to-endsolutions to market and supporting Go-live activities.
Help prioritize thesystemhygiene backlog with a focus on improving both the product and the developer experience.
Mitigate the introduction ofadditionalhygiene through code reviews ensuring team members adhere to coding standards.
Leads the management of software dependencies staying informed about industry updates and trends to ensure version compatibility
Exhibit technical mastery andproficiencyin multiple programming languages frameworks and tools relevant to our technology stack.
Uphold the highest standards of code quality andfollowsindustry best practices.
Plays a pivotal role in driving technical excellence innovation and delivering high-quality software solutions.
Defines personal continuous learning plans andprovidescustomized plans for junior members of the team.
Demonstrateexpertisein independently completing complex ticketsmentorteam members andfacilitatingeffective communication and collaboration.
Proficient understanding of ETL processes datamodelingand data integration techniques
Leverage AI tools and techniques to enhance software development activities including code generation testing debugging and optimization.
Apply AI insights toidentifypatterns automate repetitive tasks and improve overall development efficiency and product quality.
Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities whereappropriate tostrengthen product functionality and user experience.
Maintain awareness of emerging AI trends and best practices to inform continuous learning and innovation.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Scienceor a related field with 5 years of experience/proficiencyor a combination of education and experience
Proficiencyin at least one major programming language
Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and collaboration tools
Demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in teams.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Experience developing on AWS using AWS CDK/SDK Serverless ArchitectureAWS BedrockAgentCore
Experience with agentic frameworks

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge skills abilities proficiencies experience education licensures/certifications as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement. The base salary range for this job is:
