Location: Pine Ridge SD 57770
Pay Rate: $38 per hour travel stipends
Shift:80 hours per 2-week rotation; variable clinic shifts (8- or 10-hour shifts). Flexibility required including evenings Sundays and holidays as assigned.
Contract Length: Base period of 3 months with option to extend
Benefits: $5.09 per hour for Health and Welfare PTO sick leave accrued and holiday pay.

Minimum 2 years of practical nursing experience in ambulatory or outpatient care

Active unrestricted LPN license in any U.S. state DC or U.S. territory

Successful completion of NCLEX-PN

BLS required; ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained prior to start (AHA)

Ability to work across outpatient clinics acute care specialty clinics pediatrics and mobile units

Ability to assist in emergency and cardiac arrest situations
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care and clinical support services within outpatient and specialty clinic settings at the Pine Ridge Service Unit. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider the LPN delivers safe effective nursing care to patients of all ages while supporting clinic operations and maintaining compliance with Indian Health Service (IHS) standards.

Provide direct nursing care to pediatric adult and geriatric patients within scope of practice

Assist with patient intake identification vital signs and nursing assessments

Administer medications and vaccines as ordered and within LPN scope

Perform venipuncture specimen collection wound care catheter care and dressing changes

Assist with IV therapy procedures and treatments as permitted by policy

Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the RN or provider

Support patient education and reinforce care instructions provided by clinical staff

Document care interventions and patient responses accurately in EHR/RPMS
-
Assist in emergency situations including CPR and response to anaphylaxis

Maintain a safe clean clinical environment and perform equipment checks
-
Float to various clinic departments as needed to meet service unit demands

Adhere to IHS infection control safety and patient confidentiality standards
