Job Summary

Role: Lead Engineer / Architect Applications (L4 Level)

Location: Brampton ON
Mode: Contract

This senior role is responsible for defining the architecture and long-term strategy for retail applications. The architect will lead modernization initiatives ensure scalability and provide governance for application support and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Define application architecture and integration strategies.
Lead modernization projects such as digital price tags and appointment booking systems.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
Provide governance and best practices for application development.
Oversee capacity planning and performance optimization.
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with business stakeholders for strategic planning.
Drive cloud migration and API-first architecture initiatives.
Xstore POS customization and integration.
XOCS configuration and deployment.
SIOCS workflows and integrations.
MFCS merchandising operations and API integration.
Architecture security and operations.

Required Skills:

Oracle Retail Xstore XOCS SIOCS (EICS/SOCS) MFCS REST APIs Java/J2EE Spring Oracle JET RIB/RICS IDCS/OCI IAM.
Expertise in enterprise architecture and Oracle Retail ecosystem.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) APIs and microservices.
Experience in security compliance and performance optimization.
Strategic thinking and ability to lead cross-functional projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science.
10 years of experience in application architecture and leadership.
Certifications in cloud and enterprise architecture preferred.
