Cloud Engineer
Fort Meade MD (Onsite/Hybrid)
Responsibilities:
- Work with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevSecOps processes and tools
- Ensure work product meets user acceptance criteria
- Manage self-directed assignments
- Meet schedule deadlines and commitments with a high-level of quality of deliverables
- Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for Cloud and DevSecOps initiatives by providing objective practical and relevant ideas insights and advice
- Recommend and implement industry standards
- Implement and ensure adherence to security practices and incorporate them into the automated pipelines
Qualifications:
Clearance Requirements
- Active DoD Security Clearance of Secret or higher
Education:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems Engineering Business or other related scientific or technical discipline
- Minimum Experience:
- 5 years of DevSecOps experience
- 3 years of experience with Azure and other Cloud environments
- 3 years of experience with Kubernetes in an Azure cloud environment
- 3 years of experience with application and operating system security
- 3 years of hands-on experience creating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins Terraform Ansible Docker Helm Nexus
- 3 years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Terraform
- Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban using tools such as Jira Confluence Bitbucket
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills interpersonal and collaborative skills and the ability to communicate strategic information security topics policies and standards as well as risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences at various organizational levels
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in one or more cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
- Knowledge and experience working in DoD Azure environments
Pay Range: $140000 $190000
- The salary range for this position is determined based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience qualifications skill level and location. The final salary offer will fall within this range and will be commensurate with the candidates background and the specific demands of the role.
