Join Our Emergency Medicine Team in Dyersville IA!

MercyOne Dyersville Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum position. This Critical Access Hospital located in the charming town of Dyersville offers comprehensive care within its 3-bed Emergency Department and 20-bed medical-surgical department. The facility provides a wide range of outpatient services and supports a patient-centered approach in a community known for the iconic Field of Dreams and the National Farm Toy Museum.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment.
Manage an average of 4 emergency department patients daily.
Supervise and collaborate with nursing staff and advanced practice providers as needed.
Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) through TogetherCare (EPIC).
Participate in rounding and patient care for inpatients when necessary.
Cover on-call duties with in-house availability and access to a provider sleep room.
Assist in the overall operation of the Emergency Department and medical-surgical department.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or Family Practice/Internal Medicine with recent Emergency Medicine experience.
Active Iowa medical license.
Clean malpractice background; must provide a self-query from the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) within one month of application.

License and Certification Requirements:

Active Iowa medical license is required.
Board Certification in Emergency Medicine is required.
