Job Summary
Summary:
We are seeking experienced Sprayer Operators to join our Transport and Infrastructure sealing teams operating across multiple contracts throughout the South Island. As a Sprayer Operator you will be responsible for operating and maintaining sprayer plant contributing to sealing activities in accordance with defined standards and supporting the crew in achieving project goals.
Responsibilities:
Operate sprayer equipment safely and efficiently during road sealing operations
Conduct daily pre-start inspections and perform routine maintenance on plant and machinery
Collaborate closely with an experienced sealing crew to ensure seamless workflow and quality outcomes
Travel across the South Island as required to support project delivery and contract timelines
Assist with site preparation material handling and general labouring tasks as needed
Strictly adhere to site safety protocols environmental controls and work procedures
Communicate effectively with supervisors team leaders and project personnel
Requirements
Valid Class 4 drivers licence (Class 5 preferred)
3 years experience operating sprayers or working in road sealing environments
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment or operational issues in real time
Strong commitment to safe work practices and compliance with health and safety standards
Reliable punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team
Mechanical aptitude with a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and care
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience working in road maintenance or surfacing teams
Familiarity with multiple types of sealing plant and equipment
Flexibility to travel and work away from home when required
Willingness to learn develop skills and contribute to continuous improvement within the sealing operation
