Registered Nurse

Full-Time; 3 Week night shifts per week 7p-7a; with potential for picking up a few weekends

Eligible for a $10000 Sign-On Bonus!

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the direct and indirect provision of professional nursing care for the patients in the Med Surg department. The RN is accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of care delivered to patients including coordination and direct supervision of the patient care team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care within RN scope of practice in accordance with hospital policies and standards
  • Support patient care needs across inpatient units Emergency Department and Outpatient Infusion services as assigned
  • Assess monitor and respond to changes in patient condition using critical thinking and clinical judgment
  • Administer medications treatments and nurse-collected labs as ordered and document care accurately in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with providers care teams patients and families to develop and update individualized plans of care
  • Ensure a safe clean and compliant care environment adhering to infection prevention safety and quality standards
  • Coordinate patient flow and bed placement in collaboration with clinical leadership
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to support staff including participation in orientation and oversight of delegated care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and complete unit-specific operational responsibilities

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • RN current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa.
  • Must possess and maintain current BLS ACLS PALS TNCC and Dependent Adult and Child Abuse
  • Mandatory Reporter certification as outlined per policy.
