Job Title: Spanish Teacher (PYP MYP DP)
Location: Bloomingdale International School

Job Summary:
The Spanish Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Spanish language instruction across the Primary Years Programme (PYP) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The teacher will create a stimulating learning environment that promotes language proficiency cultural understanding and critical thinking skills among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver dynamic lesson plans that align with IB curriculum standards for PYP MYP and DP.
- Foster an immersive Spanish-language environment to enhance students listening speaking reading and writing skills.
- Use a variety of teaching methodologies including inquiry-based learning and interactive activities to engage students.
- Assess and track student progress providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching tools to enhance language learning.
- Promote an appreciation of Spanish culture and literature through classroom activities and events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and contribute to the IB philosophy.
- Prepare students for IB assessments ensuring they meet program requirements.
- Participate in professional development and IB training as required.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a respectful inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Spanish Education or a related field.
- IB training and experience in teaching Spanish for PYP MYP and DP is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken Spanish and English.
- Strong knowledge of IB curriculum frameworks and assessment strategies.
- Effective classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to fostering global-minded learners.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience teaching Spanish in an IB school.
- Experience with online teaching tools and integrating technology into language instruction.
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Education or a related field. Teaching certification. Proven experience as a Primary Social science Teacher (1 - 3) years Excellent Communication Skills. Strong passion for education and fostering a love for Social Science in young learners Should have good knowledge of subject with good experience. Students handling skills in the classroom.
