Ready to orchestrate a complete business transformation for a global technology leader We are looking for a visionary engineering leader to lead our Business Systems Engineering team in Christchurch who is delivery focussed and will enjoy building the technology enabling Trimbles business transformation vision for our partner/indirect business.
Role Summary:
In this role you will be leading the engineering teams responsible for building our next generation systems enabling our digital transformation mission. You will have the unique opportunity to partner with business stakeholders engineering groups and other IT teams within Trimble to drive our complex business transformation vision into reality.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in software engineering enjoys working in a global environment with distributed teams has a delivery mindset to drive outcomes and will have prior exposure or the ability to learn the business systems landscape involving our CRM/ERP systems to support our channel/indirect partner businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business stakeholders to understand business objectives and with Corporate IT teams to understand the system requirements.
Technology Strategy: Influence the technical direction of the systems by working with architects spanning across multiple system boundaries (Cloud native systems CRM & ERP technologies).
Execution and Delivery: Spearhead the delivery of time sensitive program objectives by fostering a culture of ownership and accountability and by bridging the gap between local and remote engineering teams.
Talent Development: Build a high-performing engineering team that balances progress over perfection makes pragmatic trade-offs and collaborates effectively with remote and distributed teams to deliver business outcomes.
Business transformation: Be a driving force in transitioning to the next generation systems but also balance out the importance of supporting existing ones.
Essential Skills & Experience
Transformation Leadership: Prior experience of leading and delivering business transformation initiatives within a global matrixed environment.
Management Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in managing technical teams and have a track record of developing talent driving continuous improvement with a growth mindset.
Domain Experience: Understanding of IT / Business systems (CRM ERP) Go-to-market Channel/Indirect partner business models and processes.
Collaboration Skills: Good stakeholder management and collaboration skills with the ability to bridge local and remote teams and prior experience of working in a distributed environment spanning multiple timezones.
Adoptability: Ability to show agility and adapt to a fast-paced global environment.
Tech Stack: Experience with System architecture and design Cloud platforms (AWS Azure) DevOps practices and full stack application development using microservices and event driven architecture.
SDLC & Agile: Experience leading teams in Scrum or Kanban environments focusing on velocity transparency and iterative value.
Logistics:
Location: Christchurch New Zealand.
Travel Requirement: 10-15%.
